LOCATION OF STAY Throughout the United States.
|
|
LENGTH OF STAY Minimum of 12 months with a possible extension for 6 to 12 additional months.

DEPARTURE DATES Dates available for all months except December.

WORKING HOURS Maximum 45 hours per week.

- Full room and board (private bedroom) with your American host family
- Carefully selected host families
- Regular Au Pair: Starting July 24, 2008 US $176.85 / starting July 24, 2009 US $250.00 in pocket money per week
- Au Pair With Experience: Starting July 24, 2008 US $225 / starting July 25, 2009 US $250 in pocket money per week plus a bonus of US $600.00 when you successfully complete the program.
- US $500.00 stipend to be used for schooling, paid by your host family
- Return flight from international airport close of your residence
- Workshop for five days in New York before arriving at your host family's home
- Two weeks paid vacation
- A minimum of 1.5 days off per week, and a minimum of 1 weekend off per month
- Health and accident insurance
- A J-1 visa authorizing you to stay as an au pair in the United States for 12 months; this visa allows you to stay in the United States for one month after your placement with your host family is complete
- Constant local supervision to assist you during your stay
- Monthly au pair meetings.
COMPULSORY QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 to 26 years old
- English level: intermediate or higher
- You can follow a conversation on general subjects and can talk about simple topics, even though you may have difficulty with vocabulary, pronunciation and forming complete sentences
- High school level (end of secondary school)
- Driver's license
- Good physical and mental health
- Childcare experience
- Non smoker.
- 20 to 26 years old
- English level: intermediate or higher
- You can follow a conversation on general subjects and can talk about simple topics, even though you may have difficulty with vocabulary, pronunciation and forming complete sentences.
- High school diploma level (end of secondary school)
- Driver's license
- Good physical and mental health
- Childcare experience
- None smoker
- Academic education in childcare/child development or 2 years full time working experience as babysitter/day care worker, kindergarten teacher, or children's nurse ... in a recognized childcare centre or school.
